Did you know the Honor Flight Network is in 46 different states with over 130 hubs and growing? Idaho Honor Flight AND Honor Flight Boise are brand new hubs! Each hub has the same mission: to take veterans who served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam eras to Washington D.C. to see the national memorials and monuments.
What is the difference between the hubs? Each hub is assigned specific counties based on the location of the airport and distance the veterans have to drive to get to the airport, usually about 2 hours. In Idaho you have now have 4 options based on where the veteran is located to apply for a flight.
Idaho Honor Flight serves veterans in Southeast Idaho (the counties in blue).
Honor Flight Boise serves veterans in Southwest Idaho (the counties in red).
Inland Northwest Honor Flight serves veterans in Northern Idaho (the counties in yellow).
Lone Eagle Honor Flight serves veterans across the country not within a 2 hour drive of the airport a hub is flying out of.
We all work together for the same mission: to honor our veterans – just from different areas. It’s never too late to honor and respect them. For questions about the Honor Flight Network, how to apply to be a veteran or guardian on a flight, or to volunteer with your local hub, reach out and we will help you!
